Rebuild · Dentures

Replacing many teeth, and keeping your own look.

When many teeth need replacing, the result should still look like you. We design dentures from a scan of your mouth and tell you what to expect while you get used to them.

Before and after close-ups of the same patient’s mouth: above, with no upper teeth; below, smiling with a full set of denture teeth.

Before, and with the finished dentures — one patient treated by Dr. Oh. Results vary.

Three ways to replace many teeth

There are three main kinds of dentures. Here's how they differ.

Complete dentures

A complete denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Ours are designed on screen with one goal: teeth that look like they belong to you.

Partial dentures

When several teeth are missing but healthy ones remain, a partial fills the gaps and clips discreetly to your own teeth. It is removable and involves no surgery.

We'll also go over bridges and implants so you can compare.

Overdentures

An overdenture snaps onto a small number of implants and is designed to hold steadier when you speak and eat.

If you already wear a denture

We're happy to see you at Sora Dentistry in Fairfield for relines, adjustments, or to check whether you really need a new one. Sometimes you don't.

Designed from a scan of you
No putty trays. The design starts from a scan of your mouth and the proportions of your face.
Follow-ups built in
New dentures take getting used to, so the visits to refine the fit are part of the plan from the start.

Common questions

Will people be able to tell?
We design them to suit your face, so they never look too white or too perfect. We can't promise no one will ever notice, but the goal is teeth that look like your own.
How long until they feel normal?
It's different for everyone. Speaking and eating take some practice, and we fine-tune the fit at your follow-up visits.
Can my denture be fixed instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Relines and repairs come first whenever they make sense. We recommend a new denture only when yours can no longer do its job.
What makes an overdenture different?
A small number of implants anchor it, so it is designed to hold steadier when you speak and eat than a conventional denture. Imaging and an exam tell us whether you are a candidate.
Do I sleep in them?
As a rule, gums need rest, so most dentures come out at night. We go over your care routine with you at delivery.

Your denture, step by step

How a denture comes together, visit by visit

STEP 01

Exam and scan

We examine your mouth, take digital scans, and talk through every option: complete, partial, or implant-supported.

STEP 02

Design and try-in

Dr. Oh designs the denture digitally, then we try it in your mouth. The try-in matters more than the screen.

STEP 03

Delivery and refinement

You wear it, you live with it, and we adjust the fit over the follow-up visits.

STEP 04

Ongoing care

Mouths change over time. At each checkup we look at the fit, the denture, and the gums underneath.
