Align · Invisalign®

Straighter teeth, quietly.

Invisalign® moves teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and wires. It starts with a digital scan and a plan you can watch on screen before anything begins.

Before and after intraoral photographs of one patient treated with Invisalign by Dr. Oh. The upper photograph shows the front teeth meeting edge to edge with gaps between the incisal edges; the lower photograph shows the same teeth aligned, with the upper teeth overlapping the lower evenly.

Is Invisalign right for you?

Aligners only work while they're in, so we tell you up front what the trays will ask of you.

Clear trays instead of brackets

Each aligner moves your teeth a small step, then hands off to the next in the series. There are no brackets or wires. The trays come out for meals and brushing, and most people won't notice them in conversation.

Planned on a scan, checked in person

Every case at Sora Dentistry in Fairfield starts with a digital scan, no impression putty. Dr. Oh designs the movement on screen, and you can watch the projected sequence before you commit to anything.

Teeth don't always move exactly as planned, so short visits every few weeks check your progress against the plan. If a tooth lags, we adjust rather than hope it catches up.

Wear time

Most of the day, every day. Take them out to eat and brush, then put them right back in.

Retainers, from day one

Teeth drift for life, so retainers are part of the conversation before the first tray, not a surprise at the end.

Not every case is an aligner case

Many crowding and spacing cases suit Invisalign well. Some need more than aligners, and if yours does, we'll say so at the scan.

Common questions

How long does treatment take?
It depends on your case and how much you wear the trays, so we don't quote a fixed number. We'll give you an estimate and update it as your teeth move.
Does it hurt?
A new set often feels tight for a few days. That's your teeth moving, and it usually fades.
Can I eat normally?
Yes. The trays come out for meals, and you brush before they go back in.
What if I don't wear them enough?
Treatment stalls. The plan assumes the trays are in most of the day, and teeth stop moving when they aren't.
What happens after the last tray?
Retainers. Teeth drift back without them, so keeping the result is a lifelong habit we set you up for from the start.

Your treatment, step by step

How treatment goes

STEP 01

Scan and preview

A digital scan, then the projected movement on screen. You see where the plan is headed, and whether aligners are the right tool, before deciding.

STEP 02

First trays, fitted

We fit your first aligners in person and go over wear time, care, and what the first weeks usually feel like.

STEP 03

Wear and check in

You change trays on schedule and come in for a short visit every few weeks.

STEP 04

Finish and retain

When the last tray comes out, retainers go in, and we show you the routine that keeps the result.
